For the past two years, Grace has been working towards the goal of school accreditation. This week we hosted the visiting site team who worked to validate our findings and after discussion Grace has received provisional accreditation status. This means that there are a short list of items that we need to improve upon in the next four months so that we can be fully accredited when the committee convenes in the fall. It should be noted that when we fix these items, our score for the review would have been high enough to receive “exemplary” status, which is used to designate the highest quality schools.
So what does it mean for our school going forward? Firstly, it gives us a realistic plan of improvement each year for the next five years. Following our fifth year, we will host another site team to verify again that our school meets the accrediting standards. We can also publicize that our school is accredited by WELSSA and the NCPSA which is an outward sign of the quality Christian education we offer.

We’ll be sharing more of the results when we receive the full report in a couple weeks but we wanted to let you know how we did and where we need to go from here. Thank you to all the members of Grace who helped in this process and continue to make Grace a place for quality Christian education.
